Abstract

Silica-based 2.5%-Δ arrayed waveguide gratings using a polarisation compensation method with simple circuit design are demonstrated based on core width adjustment in the array. Experimental results show that the polarisation-dependent wavelength shift can be adjusted by optimising chirping parameters for core width.
