Abstract

This research is about the poet Abbas ibn Ali al-Ithari al-Hilly (d. 1318 AH). It includes two topics: the first topic is his life، where he was born in Hilla and grew up and his travel to Baghdad، and then his return to his city and his death. The last topic dealt with an important unknown issue which is his job in copying books. The researcher، for the first time، counted in detail 29 books that al-Ithari have copied in various topics like Ja'afaris jurisprudence، al-hanbali، mantik، literature and history mentioned where these books are in libraries، after checking the catalogs and authenticating sources.And praise be to Allah، Lord of the Worlds
