Abstract

The sexual differences of the skull of Pan troglodytes have been established on 342 classic and vestibular measures taken on 19 male and 23 female skull. The Students' t test has revealed 98 significant parameters with a reliability of 99%. They indicate a greater importance of the nasofrontal zone and of the facial mass in the male. On the other hand the most significant widths are situated in the retro-vestibular zone.
