Abstract

This article analyzes the psychological nature of the sibling bond and surveys the legal rights of children as sibling units in the United States. Based upon the child and adolescent psychiatric empirical data, the authors provide a roadmap through existing sibling statutes and offer a blueprint for the development and nurturing of siblings’ rights.
