Abstract
Pakistan is an endemic country for all types of human hepatitis viruses. Their geographical prevalence depends on the ethnicity of population in various areas and their cultural and religious practices. Major etiological factors are faulty injection/transfusion practices, quackery and bad hygienic habits. This paper presents cumulative data of HBV/HCV in various groups. Viral markers in all studies were done using EIA technique.
