Abstract

The OmpA/MotB gene from Riemerella anatipestifer (RA) by our lab was sequenced. And the molecular characteristic of this gene was analyzed by computational gene and protein in bioinformatics. The result indicated that an open reading frame(ORF) containing 379bp nucleotides was preliminarily identified by aligning with gene bank database by software of BlastN and ORF Finder. The relative molecular weight of the protein was 43.5249kDa, and there is no signal peptide and transmembrane region of the protein. Four N-glycosylation sites, nine Protein kinase C phosphorylation sites, seven Casein kinase II phosphorylation sites, three N-cardamom acylation site, and antigenic determinants were searched in the protein. Most of the total proteins were located in the cytoplasmic and nuclear. Phylogenetic tree of the amino acids sequences showed this gene has a close evolutionary relationship with Elizabethkingia anopheles Ag1, Flavobacteriaceae bacterium 3519-10 and Weeksella virosa DSM16922, indicating that the RA OmpA/MotB protein may have some similar functions with them. These results predicted rational data to elucidate biological function and physiological features of the gene.
