Abstract

At present, the problem of moisture measuring during extraction, processing and transportation of mineral resources is becoming increasingly important. The aim of this study was to design a moisture meter for mining and production of oil and gas bulk and liquid products in the on-line mode. On the basis of the review and analysis of technical literature, it was found that one of the most simple and effective methods of controlling a moisture content of bulk materials and liquids is a high frequency method. The results of the experimental studies of moisture measurement of bulk materials and liquids with the high-frequency method using different measuring cell designs and inclusion circuits are presented. The results of these studies are the basis for creation of high-precision devices, which allow an automatic moisture control of liquid and bulk materials in a real time mode with the required accuracy.
