Abstract

In this paper a Sensorless Backstepping Control scheme for rotor speed and rotor flux control of induction motor drive, is proposed. The most interesting point of this technique is to deal with non-linearity of high-order system by using the virtual control variable to make this system simple, and thus the control outputs can be derived step by step through appropriate Lyapunov functions. Rotor speed and rotor flux estimation is made by an observer using the MRAS (Model reference adaptive system) technique. Simulation results are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed sensorless control.
