Abstract
Energy transfer from trivalent thulium to trivalent praseodymium in sodium phosphate glass has been observed. The transfer occurs by ion pair relaxation between Tm and Pr. High transfer efficiencies have been observed for donor-acceptor distances lying between 16.8 and 20.2 A.
