Abstract

AbstractBased on the enhancement effect of graphene oxide (GO), a GO‐modified glassy carbon electrode (GO/GCE) is prepared for the fast and sensitive electrochemical detection of the imidacloprid (IMI) insecticide, with high selectivity and stability, for the first time. The electrochemical behavior of imidacloprid on GO/GCE is investigated by using cyclic voltammetry, and graphene oxide is found to have a strong affinity towards IMI. The reduction peak current varies linearly with the concentration of IMI over the 0.8–10 μM range and the limit of detection is 0.36 μM.
