Abstract

Herein we report a hypercross-linked polymers of semiconducting porous carbon material for supercapacitors application. Semiconducting carbonaceous material was prepared by two step method. A first, hypercross-linked polymer (HCPs) of anthracene was prepared by a simple Friedel Crafts alkylation, and then the synthesized microporous HCPs was subjected into carbonization at 600 °C in an inert atmosphere. The prepared material was characterized into cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge-discharge and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in 1M sodium sulphate aqueous solution. Further, the synthesized semiconducting material subjected in CO2 adsorption and shows maximum 8 weight % sorption at 25 °C.
