Abstract

The structure of self-assembly nano tunnel diodes has been studied and proven that it can be used as a high-speed processing unit.This kind of structure works as a cellular neural networks(CNN),which has important applications in image processing including edge smoothing,edge enhancement-detection,etc.This work discussed the fabrication of self-assembled Ge nano Esaki diodes.The latest nano techniques are combined with the traditional semiconductor processes in the fabrication.We also show the image processing function of edge smoothing and edge enhancement-detection of this structure.
