Abstract

AbstractHerein, we report an easy one‐step approach for the synthesis of nickel (II) phosphate octahydrate nanoporous microspheres catalyst (NiP) with orange peel surface under one‐pot hydrothermal single‐source precursor. The morphology and the particle size of the NiP materials were switched by tuning the parameters of the hydrothermal procedure. The materials were formed in a single phase of Ni3(PO4)2⋅8H2O with a monoclinic crystal lattice. The resulting self‐supported NiP/GC (glassy carbon) electrode exhibited superior activity, remarkable stability, and high electrochemical performance (680 mA.cm−2.mg−1 & 0.33 V oxidation potential) towards urea oxidation reaction in aqueous alkaline medium.
