Abstract

We have investigated a selective behavior of spin wave (SW) propagation under an alternate magnetic (AM)-driving field in an asymmetrically sawtooth-shaped notched ferromagnetic nanowire by means of micromagnetic simulation. By variations of the amplitude and the frequency of the AM field, a filter-like selective behavior and a diode-like asymmetrical propagation behavior of certain SW modes are observed during a magnetic domain wall propagation in the nanowire. The preferential direction of an SW propagation and the filtering behavior of SW modes are achievable by the geometrically modulation of the asymmetrically sawtooth-shaped notched ferromagnetic nanowire.
