Abstract
In late 2021, a panel of clinical experts representing the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) published an updated consensus document for selection of lung transplant (LTx) candidates.1 Building upon the most recent versions of the consensus document,2,3 this diverse panel developed an updated document in accordance with ISHLT policies using available literature up to early 2020. In areas where there was a paucity of evidence, consensus was achieved on recommendations using an a priori threshold of >80% agreement.
