Abstract

The development of molecular probes for Hepatic Carcinoma recognition with high sensitivity and specificity would be of great importance for the early diagnosis of liver cancer. In this work, with a cholangiocarcinoma cell line QBC-939 as counter cell, a hepatocellular carcinoma cell line Bel-7404 was used as target cells for the selection of aptamers based on Cell-SELEX. Four aptamers were selected which all could bind to target cells with an equilibrium dissociation constant ( K d) in the nanomolar range. Furthermore, these aptamers could recognize the target Bel-7404 cells with high specificity. These aptamers would serve as effective tools for early diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma and liver pathological classification.
