Abstract

P135 Seismic Stratigraphic Interpretation of Pliocene and Quaternary Sediments in Middle Caspian Basin E.E. Kurina* (Geology Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences) SUMMARY The geological structure of the upper part of the Middle Caspian sedimentary basin is studied. Neogene (Pliocene) and Quaternary deposits can be identified in the studied area. The seismic stratigraphic analysis of the Pliocene-Quaternary sedimentary complex is done. Significant erosion incisions and signs of active tectonic processes are identified in the cross-section. The seismic stratigraphic subdivision consistent with the regional geologic setting is an important result of the study. EAGE 69 th Conference & Exhibition — London
