Abstract

The support frame is an important part of International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) poloidal field (PF) converter system. It is mainly used for dc busbars and dc disconnector switch support. This article mainly introduces a seismic analysis of three types of support frame. In order to evaluate the seismic response of the structure under specific seismic excitation, a method based on response spectrum is adopted in this article. The design earthquake spectrum of seismic level one (SL-1) with a damping factor of 2% as well as 4% provided by ITER is applied as load. The analysis is to define the maximum reaction forces, deformations, and equivalent stress of the support frame under seismic loads.
