Abstract

For most wireless LAN(Local Area Network), WPA(Wi-Fi Protected Access) is still the most common encryption mechanism. However, there is potential danger in the public wireless LAN using public PSK(pre-shared key), which could not be ignored. In such public wireless LAN, it is easy for members within the network to obtain other users' encryption keys and steal their information. This paper analyzes the generation of an encryption key, the security issues and the solutions.
