Abstract

The mechanism of second harmonic generation in the presence of intense-radiation SBS in plasma is considered under the condition that the incident beam has no time for filamentation. The mechanism is based on the formation of low-frequency plasma-density perturbations that are optimal for this effect in the field of scattered waves. The theoretical calculations are compared with the experimental data.
