Abstract

AbstractThe Molecular Interactions Database (MINT) is a relational database designed to store information about protein interactions. Expert curators extract the relevant information from the scientific literature and deposit it in a computer readable form. Currently (April 2003) MINT contains information on 4300 proteins and >3000 interactions. Although MINT contains interactions among proteins for several different species, the curators have initially focused on protein interactions in mammalian species. Protocols are provided here for searching MINT over the Internet, using the MINT Viewer.
