Abstract
This paper presents a novel technique to search for neutrino magnetic moments. A carefully timed oscillating magnetic field can split the neutrino's energy states and thus cause the helicity to “tumble” as it travels. The ultimate sensitivity of the technique depends strongly on the magnetic field strength, so the estimates presented here are very speculative. The original talk in Monterey discussed this and several other search methods, most of which were shown to be fruitless—these additional studies are not included in this paper.
