Abstract

We report results on the first search for direct CP violation in the τ semi-leptonic decay τ ± → π ±π 0ν τ. A difference of τ + and τ − decay angular distribution is examined using a data sample of 6.7fb −1 recorded with the Belle detector at the KEKB e + e − collider. No CP violation is observed. An upper limit at the 1% level is set on the CP asymmetry.
