AbstractThe field of graphic reproduction is in a period of strong transformation; this is confirmed every day in international contact with technicians and businessmen, in graphic exhibitions and in specialized congresses. It is partially due to the technological evolution of the wider field of Print-under the pressure of competition coming from the new mass-media-but it is also due to internal pushings, whereas the acquisition of new technologies involves the birth of new processes or modernization of the existing ones.The following aspects will be discussed: innovations in the field of scanners: long range screens (HD = High Density), screens for laser light source, screens for electronic paging (planning system), composite sets, large size (CTX330), quality problems and new control systems, mechanical problems, moire, microphotometrical MTV system.
