Abstract

Mono-crystalline uniaxial anisotropy high-coercive garnet films are used for thermo-magnetic recording by laser beams or contact printing. High-coercive properties of garnet films are due to a significant mismatch between the lattice parameters of the film and the substrate. The mismatch leads to appearance of facet crystal structure in these films. In the work, the facet crystal and domain structures of high-coercive garnet films were established by methods of scanning probe microscopy.
