Abstract
We have investigated the temperature scaling of the critical scattering of the binary alloy Cu 0.5Zn 0.5 by neutron scattering using time-of-flight and triple axis spectrometers. The temperature behaviour of the short range order scattering is well described by power laws with Ising exponents for all T⩾ T c in accordance with recent theoretical predictions.
