Abstract

Today, augmented reality (AR) technology is regarded as a significant technology in education. AR can enhance educational content and learning experience. The present paper analyzes the use of AR in teaching environmental studies to young students. In this work, multiple AR markers interact with one another to create an environmental atmosphere for students. Students could conceptualize the complex issue of global warming through visualization via AR technology. The proposed system is easy to operate for the novice as well as old teachers. Responses of teachers regarding the effectiveness of the system were analyzed on the SUS scale. Results showed that the teachers favored the system while teaching EVS in their classrooms.
