Abstract
Researchers at Sandia National Laboratories in California are moving to the next stage in a study into the potential for zero-emissions, electric-powered passenger ferries utilising renewable energy in San Francisco Bay. They will now focus on the optimal combination of vessel design, speed and passenger capacity, and on technical evidence to support appropriate new safety codes.
