Early Stage Oral Tongue Cancer With an Ipsilateral Nodal Recurrence 2 Years Later: What Do You Treat?International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, PhysicsVol. 106Issue 5PreviewA 49-year-old male nonsmoker was initially diagnosed in 2016 with a left lateral oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma. The patient underwent a left partial glossectomy with final pathology documenting a 2.5 mm depth of invasion, closest margin of 4 mm, and no lymphovascular invasion or perineural invasion. No neck dissection was performed. The patient was followed closely and underwent routine surveillance scans and examinations.
