Summary

Introduction

Ideal biomarkers have the ability to identify a physiological disorder with a high degree of accuracy [1]. Methods This study was approved by the Ethics Committee in Human Research (CEP) of the Federal University of Uberlândia. Saliva samples from 10 healthy subjects were collected by unstimulated methods, with and without saliva accumulation in the mouth, and stimulated methods using Salivette®, Parafilm® and chewing gum with mint flavor.
