Abstract
Saif al-Din Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Abi Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Salem al-Taghlibi al-Amdi al-Dimashqi al-Shafi’i is considered one of the most prominent Muslim scholars who were distinguished by the diversity of their scientific interests. The city of Baghdad represented an important turning point in the scholarly life of Al-Amdi. The scholars of the city, whom he studied with, had a clear impact on changing many of his scientific convictions. Studying philosophy and logic at the hands of the most prominent non-Muslim scholars of Medina began his first ordeal.
