Abstract

Gastric lesions are difficult to classify. Ex vivo pathologic diagnosis causes time delay and eventual repeat procedures. Probe-based confocal endomicroscopy (pCLE) permits in vivo, microscopic assessment of mucosal structures of the stomach in real time. The objective of this pilot multicenter study was to assess the overall accuracy of pCLE and assess interobserver agreement in interpretation of pCLE of gastric lesions.
