Abstract

From Fort Monmouth to Vint Hill Farms to SWPA: S.I.S./CB, Brisbane (Col. Abraham Sinkov, CO). An introduction to the Japanese method of superenciphermant, by means of additives, of their encoded messages and a detailed description of some of our (successful) efforts at solving this superencipherment - by means of step-by-step solution of an imaginary worksheet. Later the Japanese improved the security of their communications, superenciphering by passing the digits through a numerical square (a 10×10 table) instead of by mere addition. Encipherment is demonstrated in detail by means of a step- by-step solution of an English encoded tect superenciphmered by this method.
