Abstract

The application of analysis techniques such as DTM-LIDAR and the photo interpretation in the Roman gold mine study ‘Las Miedolas’ has allowed a precise comprehension of its hydraulic supply network, which amounts to 80-km channels. Also, mining works evolution, and it assessed auriferous ore deposit volume. Topographic precision that provides DTM-LIDAR to describe structures in detail, allowing to reasonably define critical parameters of development in this important mine. The Romans used several exploitation techniques in this mine, where they used the “peines” system in the final phase of this Roman mine.
