Abstract
Patients with locally advanced disease are a heterogeneous group including those with T3N1, T0-3N2-3 and T4N0-disease. Multimodality therapy is requested for locally advanced breast cancer with focus on neoadjuvant chemo/hormonal therapy to downstage the cancer and improve operability (1). Attention has been focused in identifying patients with excellent response to pre-operative therapy who are possible candidates for breast conservation (2). In these patients the goal is the optimal loco-regional control with acceptable cosmesis.
