Abstract
The article discusses the problems of modern rock music and rock clubs (on the example of St. Petersburg) as a phenomenon of the national artistic culture of the turn of the XX–XXI centuries. The main stages of the formation of the Leningrad-Petersburg club rock movement are given, the classification of modern rock clubs of St. Petersburg is proposed, the definition of an acoustic rock concert is given. It is concluded that the originally formed subcultural rock movement in the XXI century becomes part of the mass industry exploiting its achievements.
