Abstract

The paper addresses an approach to the stability analysis and control design of continuoustime Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems, based on the superstability conditions. The superstability conditions are the sufficient stability conditions, that are easy-to-use, because they are written as the restrictions on the elements of the matrices of linear subsystems of the T-S fuzzy model. Superstability is a useful property, allowing providing the given characteristics of the transient response. It is shown that the implementation of superstability conditions presents the general approach to the output superstabilization of the T-S fuzzy systems. Moreover the efficiency of superstability conditions for the robust analysis and stabilization of the T-S fuzzy systems with parametric uncertainties is exhibited below. An example of robust stabilization of the generalized chaotic system, shown in the work, proves the constructability of the offered approach.
