REYOG POMOROGO MONUMENT AND MUSEUM TO PROMOTE HISTORICAL LITERACY AND CULTURAL TOURISM

Abstract

Reyog Ponorogo is an ancestral cultural heritage and traditional art that needs to be preserved by all components of society. This research describes the efforts made by the Ponorogo government to maintain the existence of Reyog Ponorogo and can attract tourists to learn about Reyog Ponorogo and its history. This qualitative research will analyze data collected through observation, interviews and literature study. Interviews were conducted with key informants who knew the main problems related to the research problem. Through interviews, a general and in-depth picture related to the research is obtained. Meanwhile, literature studies are needed from the preparation of the proposal to the research results. From the results of the literature study, a concept was obtained that will be used as an analytical tool that begins to be formulated from the research problem. Qualitative descriptive data analysis shows that this cultural heritage must be maintained, protected, developed and preserved and utilized for the welfare of society. Meanwhile, Tourism Development is implemented to empower local communities in an effort to increase tourist satisfaction and explore cultural heritage as a tourism resource. Adequate integration between local communities, tourist satisfaction and cultural heritage preservation will support the sustainability of Ponorogo's tourism development.
