This research uses qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The focus of this research is on the informant's understanding, not on specific institutions, companies, or government agencies. Data collection techniques used in this research are in-depth interviews and documentation. In this research, the author used data validity techniques with triangulation techniques. The era of leadership nowadays is no longer about building something partially but by collaboration. In a traditional village, a leader who has a digital leadership spirit in the customary community must be more open to seeing the changes in paradigm, while maintaining the foundation axis that has been formed or is used as a reference in the village. A leader who is not very fluent or fully understands the digital field, but able to create work related to technology, who manages to move highly competent people in the digital field to realize their goals, it can be considered that the leader has a digital leadership spirit. In digital leadership, openness and collaboration are needed, as well as the ability to go in line with the rules, not just merely from digital capabilities one has.
