Abstract

The strong dependence of physical andchemical properties on morphology ensures that methods tosynthesize metallic nanostructures of prescribed morphology areattracting more extensive attention. To date, various physical orchemical techniques have been used to tailor monodispersedspheres and cubes, and anisotropic forms such as rods, wires, tubes, andsheets.Amongthese, extensiveefforthasbeendevotedto the controlled synthesis of multi-dimen-sional nanometals (rods, wires, tubes).
