AbstractThe article from Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, ‘Unsteady flow and heat transfer on a rotating disk in a porous medium’ (DOI:10.1002/mma.803) by Hazem Ali Attia published online on 28 November 2006 in Wiley InterScience (www.interscience.wiley.com), has been retracted by agreement between the author, the journal Editor in Chief Wolfgang Sprößig and John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. The retraction has been agreed due to overlap between this article and the following article published in the International Journal of Thermal Sciences, ‘Unsteady mhd flow and heat transfer on a rotating disk in an ambient fluid’ by H.S.
