Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is one of the leading causes of childhood blindness in developing countries where we can observe financial deficiencies and lack number of ophthalmologists for adequate ROP screening. These are the preliminary results from a broader study which aims to evaluate the effectiveness of telemedicine using noncontact digital fundus camera as a coadjuvant in the detection of severe cases of retinopathy of prematurity.
