Abstract
A patient with allergic alveolitis demonstrated by lung biopsy is described in a mushroom worker in Washington State presenting with severe airways obstruction. This is the first case of mushroom worker's lung reported in the United States outside the mushroom industry in Pennsylvania. The processes of commercial mushroom growing are discussed, and the literature on mushroom worker's lung is reviewed.
