Abstract

We have investigated the effect of the isospin ½, JP=0+ resonant state [Formula: see text] on the decays [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] as a function of the branching ratio sum [Formula: see text] and coupling constants [Formula: see text]. We have used a factorized input for [Formula: see text] weak transition through a πK loop. We estimated both on- and off-shell contributions from the loop. Our calculation shows that the off-shell effects are significant. For r≥30% a fit to the decay amplitude [Formula: see text] was possible, but the amplitude [Formula: see text] remained at its factorized value. For small values of r, r≤18%, we were able to fit [Formula: see text], and despite the fact that [Formula: see text] could be raised by almost 100% over its factorized value, it still falls short of its experimental value. A simultaneous fit to both amplitudes [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] was not possible. We have also determined the strong phase of the resonant amplitudes for both decays.
