Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of metformin combined with ovulation in treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)with insulin resistant ovulation rate and pregnancy rate.Methods 50 patients were randomly divided into group A and group B.Two groups were treated with clomiphene ovulation,group B was given metformin additionally,statistics analysis were carried out in two groups after treatment including ovulation rate,pregnancy rate and abortion rate,serum progesterone and insulin levels were compared.25 cases with normal insulin were selected as group C,B and C groups were compared with clomiphene ovulation induction(CC)of the PCOS patients randomly selected from insulin normal ovulation rate,pregnancy rate and abortion rate were compared between the two groups at the same time of blood progesterone insulin levels.Results Group A ad B treatment of monitoring indicators for the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05).There was no statistical significant difference in indicators between the groups of B and C.Conclusions Metformin combined with ovulation may improve insulin resistance in patients with PCOS ovulation rate,pregnancy rate and reduce abortion rate after pregnancy,it is an effective method in treatment regimens for insulin resistance in PCOS patients.
