Abstract

We obtain coatings under a nitrogen pressure p = 4 · 10– 3 –8.65 · 10–1 Pa in a vacuum chamber for a negative potential on the substrate U = 40–200 V and an arc current strength of 130 A. It is shown that the mean rates of erosion of the coatings under the conditions of cavitation (V1) and abrasive wear (V2) are minimal for the coatings obtained for fixed p = 6.65 · 10–1 Pa, and U = – 100 V. We also determined the microhardness of the coatings (Hμ) and established the relationship between V1, V2, and Hμ.
