Abstract

Residual stress distribution in Sic fiber/YSZ composite thermal barrier coating (TBC) on a stainless substrate has been measured by micro-Raman spectroscopy. Stress-spectroscopic coefficient was calibrated on a independent TBC layer. The coefficient for all TBC system is Σ=33.92cm-1Gpa-1. The stress measurement along the TBC thickness shows compressive stress distribution is decrease progressively from substrate/top coat interface to TBC surface. And the fiber can effectively relaxing the residual stress of composite coating.
