Abstract

Based on a new polishing device, the feeding model and residual error model are established according to the movement relationship of the polishing tool and the workpiece in the process. From the feeding model we can get the feed of the polishing tool in the process. And the residual error model can be used to obtain the scallop height after polishing and we can adjust the polish-step length rationally to improve machining accuracy. The two models can provide the theory basis for polishing aspheric. It confirms the exactitude and effectiveness of the two models through the simulation analysis results.
