Abstract

This is a critical review of the book “Reinventing sport and Olympic Games after Covid-19: return to Pierre de Coubertin”, edited by Nelson Todt, Ana Miragaya and Lamartine DaCosta. We seek to contextualize the book within the scenario of changes in action by the International Olympic Committee, through the 2020 and 2020+5 Olympic Agendas, in which certain expectations of changes in sport seem to manifest themselves with greater force in the post-pandemic period. Aware of this context, the authors of the book try to pave the way for the discussion without losing sight of the contributions of the classic Pierre de Coubertin, bringing baron's ideas that still seem to be in tune with the challenges of present time.
