Abstract

AbstractPolygonatum sibiricum is a medicinal and edible homologous plant of Polygonatum in Liliaceae, which contains many components, such as polysaccharides, proteins, alkaloids, lignans, and amino acids. A large number of studies have shown that Polygonatum sibiricum polysaccharide is the main active component of Polygonatum sibiricum, which has pharmacological effects, such as antioxidant, immune regulation, antitumor, hypoglycemic, and so on. In this article, the research on bioactivity and mechanism of Polygonatum sibiricum polysaccharide in recent 10 years is summarized, and the effect of structure–activity relationship of Polygonatum sibiricum polysaccharide on the mechanism of action is discussed. The research and application prospect of Polygonatum sibiricum polysaccharide in order is prospected to provide reference for the development of related drugs and healthy food.
